Director of Ultrasonic Engineering

If you are an engineering professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an opening for you! Based in our Boulder, Colorado location, you will be responsible for leading our Ultrasonic Flow technology from an engineering perspective at the Director level.
This position will lead the Ultrasonic engineering center of excellence in a multi-disciplinary capacity, will help to define and build a long-term vision, and will be responsible for successful technology development relating to Ultrasonic flow meters.

Define and implement strategic plans related to people, equipment, technology development, and new product programs.
Develop knowledge base and team subject matter experts needed to sustain the Ultrasonic Technology organization Collaborate with and determine points of leverage with existing flow team Manage 3-4 Ultrasonic Technical Experts within a larger team of about 30 employees.
Identify, communicate, and define required support for new product development and sustaining engineering programs (ex.
:
Approvals, Metallurgy, Marketing material support, Supply Chain, SQE, etc.
) Establish and institutionalize engineering prioritization and resource planning process.
Provide general engineering leadership for advancement of all NPD and Sustaining engineering projects in coordination with local and remote Ultrasonic expertise.
Maintain departmental expense and capital budgets.

Minimum 10 years of experience as an engineer/manger including new product development and continuing engineering.
Bachelor's Degree required.
Proven ability to build effective teams Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:
Experience in the process control industry highly preferred Master's Degree highly preferred Experience leading a global multi-functional team Prior work experience in a multi-disciplinary engineering capacity including electrical, mechanical, signal processing and physics a plusOur compensation philosophy is simple:
we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process.
In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the salary range for this role is $125,000 - $165,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to one day a week.
