Environmental Engineer

Arcosa Lightweight is searching for an Environmental Engineer in Boulder, CO.
In this role you will support a positive safety culture staff within two 24/7 aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards.
The Environmental Engineer will direct and maintain all environmental systems to ensure continued compliance with Corporate and Governmental standards for the Frazier Park, CA and Boulder, CO plants.
This position develops and implements programs to prevent and solve environmental problems.

of lightweight and natural aggregates, including expanded shale and clay, crushed stone, sand and gravel, asphalt rock, and other products.
What You'll Do:
o Work safely at all times and contributes to the establishment of a positive Safety culture by participating in ARC100 Defined Activities; adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standardso Provide oversight and direction for day-to-day compliance with applicable air, wastewater, water and storm water permits, plans, regulationso Interpret environmental laws and permit requirements, stay abreast of the changing regulatory landscape and analyze the various options for complying with new regulations and permit requirementso Coordinate the reporting and record keeping activities for facility's permits and other environmental regulatory reporting requirements and corporate sustainability data tracking requirementso Maintains detailed records and prepares related reports and studies for submission to regulatory agencieso Develop and implement environmental compliance programs to ensure environment regulatory obligations are fulfilled in a cost-effective manner and that environmental risks are effectively managedo Build strong working relationships in order to support the adherence to environmental initiativeso Oversee the development of findings, recommendations, and corrective actions to mitigate environmental hazards across various environmental media, including but not limited to, air emissions, water pollution control, hazardous materials management, and solid waste management, etc.
o Perform technical analysis of process data as related to air and water emissionso Apply for original permits and maintains a schedule for renewals, reporting, and provisions of all required environmentally related permitso Develop, implement, and coordinate emergency response to releaseevents as necessaryo Develop and delivers environmental compliance-related training sessionso Travel 30% of time to Frazier Park, CA; responsibilities shared between Frazier Park, CA and Boulder, CO facilitieso Perform other duties as assigned What You'll Need:
o Expert working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations with regard to Air Quality, Wastewater, Storm Water, Solid and Hazardous Waste Managemento Strong knowledge of training methods, procedures, and techniqueso Strong computer skills including data management and presentation and experience in MS Office Suiteo Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writingo Data analysis and problem-solving skills that uncover contributors to environmental compliance-related incidents and development of solutions to address those riskso Ability to use regulatory database systems for required reportso Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Science, or related fieldo Minimum of 5 years of Environmental Science leadershipo Two (2) years' experience in industrial manufacturing facility with Title V air emissionso Strong regulatory experience with MSHA/OSHA.
Compensation and benefits o Salary is between $87K and $113K annually.
