Position
Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for software engineering and experience with Python, Qt, Azure Cloud, and supporting the Azure AI stack.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work independently to achieve goals and set schedulesetin collaboration with the existing team.
You will design, develop, test, deploy and support software solutions for the automation and data analysis of our manufacturing and measurement tools.
You will be responsible for design, implementation and supporting software solutions to improve our systems' efficiency and accuracy, ensuring our software's reliability and stability.
You will also provide product support to resolve issues and ensure smooth operation.
Responsibilities:
oDesign, develop, and maintain software applications and services using Python and the Qt framework oCollaborate with cross-functional teams to build and deploy software solutions that support the automation and data analysis of our PV manufacturing and measurement tools oProvide input into project plans and feature prioritization oPerform quality control tests to ensure the software's reliability, accuracy, and stability oWork with the production team to deploy and maintain the software in production environments.
oUtilize Azure Cloud and Azure AI stack to develop, deploy and monitor ML solutions oProvide production support, resolve issues, and ensure the system runs smoothly
Qualifications:
oAbility to work on a small team in a sprint environment and deliver to schedule oBachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field or the equivalent in relevant work experience oAt least 3 years of experience in software development with Python and preferably with Qt frameworks oExperience working with Azure Cloud oExperience with deployment automation tools such as GitLab oExperience with DevOps practices such as continuous integration and continuous deployment oBonus points if you have experience interfacing with data science teams and deploying and monitoring ML solutions oExcellent problem-solving and debugging skills oStrong communication and collaboration skills oComfortable working with ambiguity If you are passionate about software engineering and want to work with cutting-edge technology in the solar energy industry and want to work in an established company with a small startup culture, pleaseapplyto join our team at BrightSpot Automation.
