This position will assist the General Manager with Group Sales, Catering and Negotiated Corporate Accounts.
This position has the responsibility to achieve occupancy and rate goals to maximize revenue growth while meeting or exceeding hotel profit objectives.
This individual will oversee hotel Sales Managers and Catering Managers, including coaching and training.
Responsibilities Supervise and direct entire sales department to attract, retain and motivate the employees.
Hire, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel, conduct performance and salary reviews, resolve problems, provide open communication, recommend discipline and terminations as appropriate.
Directs the maintenance of all file systems and provides training and control sales automation systems.
Maintains timely and effective communication with the Front Office and Reservations Departments.
Provides product quality feedback to the General Manager.
Maintains a positive image for the hotel in the marketplace and participates in community affairs.
Solicits and services major accounts.
Recommend, assist in developing, implementing, monitoring and controlling the hotels annual budget.
Develop, implement and monitor the hotels marketing plan; analyze competition, market trends and customer needs and comments; prepare and review forecasts.
Prepare various sales and rate reports to continually assess the hotels productivity against the budget plan, and market place.
Collects and analyzes marketing data to determine hotels position within the marketplace and takes responsibility for advertising, promotions and merchandising within Hotel Teatro standards and guidelines.
Measures results and corrects marketing spending on a ROI basis.
Comply with achieving individual goals along with team goals and budget metrics.
Oversee Catering and Event Management teams to ensure Private Dining, Catering and Meeting room rental budgets are met or exceeded.
Exercises the hotels policies and procedures in accordance with above responsibilities.
Assists in the Service Recovery process by proactively resolving guest issues and notifying the supervisor on duty immediately.
Performs all other related duties/projects/reports as assigned by the General Manager.
Implements policies and programs.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos, ability to write simple correspondence, ability to effectively present one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other staff members of the organization and hospitality community.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages and ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
REASONING ABILITY:
ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished written, oral, or diagram form, ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations and ability to address customer personalities in various business situations.

Education, Experience, Skills 4 years minimum progressive hotel sales experience preferred; or a 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience.
Computer skills preferred, Opera, Ideas, Outlook, Microsoft programs Highly developed verbal & written communication skills to frequently negotiate, sell and influence other team members, hotel guests and corporate clients.
