The Vision Pro System Applications team is looking for a Software Engineer to help us build essential applications for visionOS, our new spatial computing platform.
Join our team and help us craft the next generation of System Applications and experiences for Apple Vision Pro such as Setup Assistant and Settings.
As a core member of our team, you will build or expand your expertise in Apple's app development and spatial computing technologies, while working closely with organizations across our company (Human Interface, Frameworks, etc.
) to design, architect, and implement apps that will delight, inspire, and empower users of Apple Vision Pro.
Key Qualifications Experience shipping delightful applications in one of the following domains:
Apple platforms (macOS, iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, watchOS).
Augmented Reality or Virtual Reality platforms.
Interactive 3D applications or games (mobile/consoles/etc.
).
Knowledge of foundational development technologies in at least one of the above domains:
macOS / iOS / iPadOS / tvOS / watchOS development technologies or 3D / graphics technologies / game engines.
Strong Computer Science fundamentals.
Detail-oriented approach to solving problems and building new things.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excitement to be part of a fast-paced and diverse organization.

Our applications engineering team is uniquely positioned at the intersection of design, frameworks, operating systems, and low-level software - by joining us you will work closely with peers across these functions to deliver life-changing products to our customers.
The ideal engineer for this role brings to bear strong engineering and computer science fundamentals.
You thrive in a dynamic and agile organization charted with trailblazing the new medium of spatial computing.
You love answering questions through prototyping and experimentation, and then translating these answers into shipping code that touches the lives of millions of customers.

Education & Experience BS / MS / PhD in Computer Science OR equivalent degree OR equivalent experienceAdditional Requirements Experience with Apple's development frameworks and technologies (Swift, ObjC, SwiftUI, UIKit, etc).
Expertise with ARKit and/or RealityKit.
Expertise with 3D graphics APIs, shader programming, or game engines (C, C++, Metal, DirectX, Vulcan, etc.
) Expertise with AR/VR technologies.
Expertise in 3D math/linear algebra fundamentals.
Experience in prototyping of user-facing features and working with designers.
