SGovernment in building innovative new tools to deliver unique world-class data exploitation capabilitiesSciTec has an immediate opportunity for a talented Linux System AdministratorOur ideal candidate will be responsible for helping to architect, as well as implement, administer and manage the various Linux technologies deployed across the organizationResponsibilitieso Installation and configuration of workstations and servers in accordance with a defined baselineo Troubleshoot systems running RedHat Enterprise Linux 7/8o Security, system hardening, system integrity, system backup, and continuous monitoring/auditingo Patch / package management, third-party software installation and maintenanceo Manage VMware virtualization infrastructureo Server installation and configurationo Troubleshooting hardware and software issueso Networking configuration in a mixed Linuxo Other duties as assigned Requirementso A 4-year degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, other relevant technical field, or equivalent experienceo Ability to work with others in a constructive and collaborative mannero Enthusiastic, dynamic self-starter able to own issues to conclusiono The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearanceo At least 1 year of Linux admin experienceo Detail orientedo Good verbal and written communication skills Candidates who have at least one-year ongoing professional experience in any of the following areas will be preferredo RedHat Enterprise Linux 7/8o Dell switches, servers and SANo VMware vSphere and vCentero DISA SCAP Compliance Checker and configurationo Security+o RHCSA / RHCEo Amazon Web Services (AWS)o Network-attached storage (NAS) and/or Storage Area Network (SAN) configuration and maintenanceo Automation using shell / perl / python / powershello CI/CDo Configuration management using Ansible or similaro Docker Resumes, Cover Letters, and Applications which are generated by AI will not be considered for employmentBenefits SciTec offers a highly competitive salary and benefits package, including:
