00 Annually Position SummaryWestern Resource Advocates (WRA) is hiring an Annual Fund andEvent Manager to join our Development Team in Colorado.
The AnnualFund and Event Manager will work to develop a multi-channel,donor-centric annual fund program, which includes donor societies,sponsorships, giving days, email communications, and collaborationwith the Marketing and Communications department, as well asmembers of front-line fundraising teams.
This position will requirehigh collaboration, project management, motivation, and skill increating and executing compelling annual giving strategies,developing content for both mail and email campaigns and planningprospecting and donor engagement events.
The Annual Fund andEvent Managerwill work with and report directly to theAssociate Director of Development Operations.
This positionwill be involved in the growth and expansion of WRA's donor base,generate leads for the major gifts team, achieve annual fund goalsand contribute to the overall success of the development teamgoals.

LocationThis position has the option to work from WRA's Boulder orDenver office, remotely from anywhere within the Boulder-Denvermetro area, or a hybrid of the two.
Travel to meetings,conferences, donor events, and other work-related events isrequired within WRA's region.
This is in addition to travelrequired for retreats, and other internal organizational meetings.
Typically, there is at least one all-staff retreat and oneDevelopment Team retreat in our region each year at whichattendance is required.
Responsibilities And ActivitiesANNUAL GIVINGPlan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive annual givingprogram that builds on a growing foundation of annual donors andactivitiesExecute strategies and tactics that include developing acalendar of activities, writing appeals, segmenting mailing lists,executing giving days, and planning eventsManage annual giving appeals and materials, which includesdeveloping campaign themes, drafting content, working with thegraphic designer, segmenting lists, and coordinating print andmailingCreate and automate programs and work closely with donor groupssuch as workplace giving, first-time donors, and recurringdonors, incorporating appropriate stewardship and communication toinfluence moves managementWork with Donor Relations Officers and other development staffto integrate major gift donors as needed into annual giving andstewardship opportunitiesManage the sponsorship program, solicit renewals and newsponsorships solo and with other development or program staff, andtrack and manage benefitsWork closely with the marketing staff to integrate and executedigital engagement and givingCultivate, solicit, and steward annual fund donors, andrecommend qualified donors for moves managementSet goals, track, and analyze metrics to increase performanceof direct mail, giving programs, including retention, increasedgiving, and acquisition of new donorsRecommend and track a budget for annual giving programInput appropriate information in Raiser's Edge donor database,update constituent records to maintain data health and actions, andextract data as neededSupport the fundraising goals and mission of theorganizationStay abreast of industry standards and best practices to guideannual giving programEVENT COORDINATIONPlan and execute new and existing stewardship and cultivationevents for annual fund and major gift donorsWork with internal stakeholders and vendors to create seamlessexecution of eventsManage events calendar for Development TeamMaintain accurate records and reporting on event metricsincluding tracking attendance, ROI and budgetStay abreast of industry standards and best practicesfundraising event planningRequired QualificationsAny equivalent combination of education, training, andexperience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, andabilities to perform the essential functions of this position, willbe considered.
For example, the requisite experience, knowledge,skills, and abilities would include:
Three or more years of experience working withdonors or external stakeholders and considerable knowledge ofannual giving best practicesDemonstrated experience in planning and executing fundraisingeventsStrong interpersonal and written communication skills,including the ability to communicate and connect with diverseaudiencesAbility to communicate technical content to non-technicalaudiencesProject management skills with the ability to adaptquicklyCoordination, collaboration, and creativity in dailyworkProficient writing and editing skillsWell versed in direct mail and digital solicitation bestpractices and implementationDemonstrated track record of developing and executingsuccessful annual fundraising strategiesInterest in and growing knowledge of best practices infundraising and fundraising eventsAbility to collect and analyze dataPreferred experience in donor database (not required)Physical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on acomputer.

Salary And BenefitsThe salary range is$58,000-$70,000annually; salarydepends on relevant experience and new staff rarely start at thetop of the range.

Annually, staff receive seventeen days paid vacationleave to start, twelve paid sick days, one paid volunteer day,twelve paid holidays, and WRA is closed for Winter Break betweenChristmas Day and New Year's Day for additional paid time off.
Employees are eligible for up to twelve weeks of parental leave,and after five years, staff are eligible for up to twelve weeks ofpaid sabbatical leave.
Colorado staff receive a RTD EcoPass.
Position is full-time exempt.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
